Grand Rapids Civic Theatre is one of the oldest and largest community theatres in the nation. To help boost revenue, we designed the 2018/19 season artwork and refined their ticketing structure.

After conducting research focus groups we learned that the Civic’s programs, and ticket packages/pricing were causing confusion. So we started by simplifying and clarifying both the messaging and buying process for customers, then created a strong visual direction that used a bold color palette, typography and graphic illustrations. The outcome, completely new messaging and brand directions shown via their season brochure, ads, an updated website, posters and POPs. The result? A sharp increase in ticket sales and package subscriptions, making 2018/19 one of their highest grossing seasons ever.
