Grand Rapids Civic Theatre is one of the oldest and largest community theatres in the nation. In recent years they were seeing a rapid decline in ticket sales and were close to closing their doors. Research focus groups revealed the Civic’s programs and ticket packages/pricing were causing confusion. A simpler buying process and clearer messaging were needed, mixed with a strong visual direction that used a bold color palette, typography and graphic illustrations.
